At the Australian Embassy in Hanoi or the Consulate-General in Ho Chi Minh City. Eligible renewals can be mailed in; other applications are lodged in person by appointment. The adult fee is A$422 plus an overseas surcharge.
Does the Embassy issue visas?
No. The Embassy and Consulate-General do not decide visa applications; Australian visas are applied for online through ImmiAccount and decided by the Department of Home Affairs.
Do Australian citizens need a visa for Vietnam?
Yes. Australia is not on Vietnam's list of countries with unilateral visa exemption; most Australian visitors apply for an e-visa of up to 90 days at evisa.gov.vn.
